Ray Sidney, PhD
1991 Hertz Fellow

Ray Sidney was an early software engineer at Google and a cryptographer at RSA Labs.
He holds an AB from Harvard and a PhD from MIT, both in mathematics, as well as an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
In modern times, Ray’s interests include complexity, energy, the environment, Norway, and curling and other winter sports. Ray serves on the Boards of Directors of the Hertz Foundation and Girls’ Angle, and he has close ties to the XPRIZE Foundation.
