Sherman Chan is the founder and president of Advanced Systems for Power System, Inc. in San Mateo, California.

Sherman earned his BS degree from Harvey Mudd College, and his MS, Engineer and PhD degrees from MIT. He has 49 years of experience in writing computer software and graphical interfaces for power systems applications.

His interests are in the simulation of converter-interfaced resources, such as solar plants, wind plants and battery storage systems in large networks.

Chan is an IEEE Life Fellow and a member of the IEEE PES Power Systems Relaying and Control Committee.
