As director and co-founder of BYRNA Technologies, Paul Jensen is leading the development of innovative new technologies that provide less lethal alternatives to the use of deadly force for law enforcement, the military, corrections, private security and homeowners.

Paul has over 25 years of experience in the plastics industry, serving in senior management positions at Nypro, a billion-dollar global plastics contract manufacturer, and helping start Nypro University. Previously, he helped launch CSP Technologies, an innovative pharmaceutical packaging business. He began his plastics career in marketing management positions at Eastman and GE Plastics and was a graduate of the GE Sales Development Management Training Program.

A distinguished graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Paul served a total of nine years active duty in the United States Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division and XVIIIth Airborne Corps at Ft. Bragg and Staff & Faculty, United States Military Academy at West Point. He received his advanced degree as a Hertz Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In the true spirit of Fannie and John Hertz’s vision, Paul has spent the past ten years developing technology in defense of the homeland. As CEO & founder of HALO Maritime Defense Systems, he led the development of state-of-the-art, floating security barriers to secure strategic waterfront assets around the world. He most recently served as CEO of Security Devices International.
