Michael Anshelevich is a professor at Texas A&M University, Department of Mathematics.

Michael’s research interests include: functional analysis, operator algebras, free probability theory; probability theory, stochastic processes; and combinatorics, orthogonal polynomials, and umbral calculus.

He previously taught at University of California, Riverside (2002–2005). Prior to that, he was at University of California, Berkeley as an NSF postdoctoral fellow and at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute as a Postdoctoral fellow. He received his M.A. in Statistics and his PhD in Mathematics from University of California, Berkeley. He studied at California Institute of Technology for his B.S. (with honors) in Mathematics.
