Max Kelman enjoys using sound scientific principles to solve real world problems in electronic materials, devices and products.

His career spans a wide range of R&D, product development and management roles at startup and established companies. Prior to his current role in Apple Product Development, his career spanned displays, semiconductor materials, process equipment, solar cells, nanoparticles and printing fluids. Max has lead IP strategy definition for new technologies and is the named inventor of over 25 US and international patents.

Max earned his PhD and MS from Stanford University and a BS from the University of California, Berkeley, all in Materials Science and Engineering.

Outside of work, Max enjoys exploring the world with his family, road biking and spending time outdoors.
