Kathy Dessau, PhD

Kathryn “Kathy” Dessau is Asst. Director, Marketing and Development at PhET Interactive Simulations, University of Colorado, Boulder.

Kathy helps PhET with corporate relations, licensing, fundraising, and communications. She has been with PhET since 2010. Previously she worked in the scientific instrument industry in Colorado and California. She has a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford and an A.B. in Physics from Princeton.

During her free time, she skis, rides her bike and runs around Boulder with her two kids (when they are home from college), her husband, a physics professor at CU Boulder, and her dog.
