DJ Strouse, PhD

DJ Strouse is a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI.

DJ completed his PhD in physics at Princeton University. However, like many physicists, he now works on artificial intelligence. He was previously a Senior Research Scientist at DeepMind, and spent summers at Google DeepMind, Spotify, and Zynga. His thesis focused on applying tools from information theory to problems in machine learning.

DJ works on improving the reasoning capabilities of frontier AI models, and is based in San Francisco.
