Anand Oza, PhD

Anand Oza is an Assistant Professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Anand conducted a combined numerical and theoretical investigation of the dynamics of droplets bouncing on a vibrating fluid bath. His thesis research focused on the quantization of the droplets’ circular orbits, and the emergence of wave-like statistics from the droplets’ pilot-wave dynamics. The goal of Anand’s research was to understand the potential and limitations of the bouncing droplet system as a quantum mechanical analogue. Anand’s research interests are fluid mechanics and nonlinear dynamics, with applications to physics and biology. His research utilizes a combination of analytical techniques and numerical simulations. Anand is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University.
