Overview
The Hertz Foundation is hosting a community dinner in Boulder, bringing together local Hertz Fellows, partners and friends for an evening of conversation about hands-on learning in science and engineering.
The evening features a talk by Eric Bogatin, a Boulder-area member of the Hertz Community who received Hertz support as an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1972-76. He is on the electrical, computer and energy engineering faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he teaches the senior design capstone lab and graduate courses in signal integrity. His talk will cover his approach to experiential learning in a two-semester capstone course and some of the ambitious projects his student teams have built.
The program opens with appetizers and mingling, followed by dinner, introductions, a talk by Bogatin and conversation. Invited guests are welcome to bring a plus-one, and space is limited.
