Hertz Fund Fall Challenge 2026

The HERTZ Fund

Hertz Fund Fall Challenge 2026

Your Gift goes even further

Through Dec. 31, 2026, every gift to the Hertz Fund will be matched, up to $100,000, thanks to Hertz Fellow Sandeep Singhal and his wife, Sukriti. As the Make History Campaign enters its final stretch, this is the moment to put your gift behind the next generation of Hertz Fellows and see it go further than it ever has.

All gifts to the Hertz Fund, from Fellows and from every member of the Hertz Community, will be matched:

2:1 for first-time donors
1:1 for donors renewing their past support

GIVE TO THE HERTZ FUND

Sandeep announced the challenge at the 2026 Hertz Summer Workshop, where he described the freedom the Hertz Fellowship gave him as a graduate student in 1992 to pursue work on distributed simulation that neither the graphics nor the networking field would claim, work that became a foundation for modern multiplayer games. Your generosity provides us with the flexibility to empower Hertz Fellows to take intellectual risks, explore audacious ideas and collaborate within an influential community that impacts the lives of millions. Learn more about the impact of your gift in our latest Impact Report.

Support of all sizes make a difference and combined, even small gifts can have a big impact.

“Every year, there are more qualified candidates than there are fellowships. Every year, we leave extraordinary scientists on the table, not for lack of talent, but for lack of resources and support. Your involvement and your gifts help change that.”
