Eric Bogatin earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by both a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He built a distinguished career in industry, holding senior engineering and management roles at Bell Labs, Raychem, Sun Microsystems, Ansoft, and Interconnect Devices. In 1990, he co-founded Bogatin Enterprises with his wife, Susan, growing it into a premier signal integrity training organization that Teledyne LeCroy acquired in 2011.
In 2012, he joined the faculty of the Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering department at the University of Colorado Boulder. Currently, he teaches the senior design capstone course and graduate courses in signal integrity. He runs a graduate research group in signal and power integrity and an undergraduate team on software-defined instruments.
As a Signal Integrity Evangelist, he is a Fellow at Teledyne LeCroy and a Technical Fellow at Quilter. He is a prolific author of hundreds of technical publications, 18 books, and two science fiction novels.
