overview
Join us for one of our Hertz Fellowship Application Information Sessions to learn more about the 2026 Hertz Fellowship application.
The 2026 Hertz Fellowship application is now open through October 31, 2025, and we want to make sure our prospective applicants understand the details of the fellowship and feel prepared to put together their best application package.
On Wednesday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m EST -or- Tuesday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. EST, join our Hertz Fellowship Director Derek Haseltine and Hertz Fellows for an online information session to learn more about this unique doctoral funding opportunity.
The information sessions will include a short introduction to the fellowship and components of the application. Participants can then join breakout rooms for additional Q&A facilitated by Hertz Fellows. In addition to providing application advice, each breakout room will offer individual perspective on a variety of topics, including:
- how to choose a grad school that aligns with your research interests
- applying to the Hertz Fellowship during a gap year
- building resiliency in grad school
- underrepresented in STEM
- coordination with other fellowships
A recording of each session will be available after the event.
