The fund was established to honor Hertz Fellow and retired four-star General Ellen M. Pawlikowski for her extraordinary career of service to the nation and the Hertz community. Gifts to the fund empower the next generation of scientific leaders who embody the values of service, technical excellence, and principled innovation, expanding the Foundation’s impact across critical national security and innovation sectors.
About Ellen M. Pawlikowski
General (retired) Ellen M. Pawlikowski, a Hertz Fellow and the third woman to achieve the rank of General in the U.S. Air Force, commanded Air Force Materiel Command, overseeing 80,000 personnel and $60 billion annually. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, she now brings her decades of strategic and technical leadership to the boards of RTX and RPM International.
