Danielle A. Braje is associate group leader of the Quantum Information and Integrated Nanosystems Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where her research on quantum sensing and quantum information science has made her a leader in applying quantum coherence to real-world measurement challenges. Braje completed her doctorate in physics at the University of California, Berkeley, where her dissertation examined electromagnetically induced transparency and coherent control of atomic systems — work at the interface of atomic physics and quantum optics that provided foundational training for her subsequent career in quantum sensing. At MIT Lincoln Laboratory, she has become an associate group leader working on quantum technologies, including diamond-based quantum sensors and quantum networking systems.
