Amy Ousterhout, PhD

Amy Ousterhout is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
Ousterhout is primarily interested in operating systems and networks in data centers. Her recent research focuses on improving the efficiency of datacenter applications.
Prior to UCSD, Ousterhout was a postdoctoral researcher in the NetSys Lab at UC Berkeley, where she worked with Scott Shenker and Sylvia Ratnasamy.
Ousterhout received her Ph.D. in 2019 from MIT CSAIL, advised by Hari Balakrishnan and Adam Belay, and received a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University.
