Jenifer Shafer is the inaugural Ben L. Fryrear Presidential Chair at Colorado School of Mines and a former Associate Director at ARPA-E, where she helped shape programs across the energy innovation ecosystem.
Her current work focuses on accelerating the commercialization of emerging energy technologies, expanding the U.S. nuclear enterprise, and building partnerships among universities, industry, startups, and government.
At the Hertz Summer Workshop, she is interested in discussing how breakthrough science moves from the laboratory into deployment, the future of advanced energy systems, and new models for translating research into societal impact.
