MAKING HISTORY

Geoffrey Holloway is associate professor of Chemistry at Cedarville University, a Christian liberal arts university in Ohio, where he teaches organic and inorganic chemistry. Holloway earned his undergraduate degree from Ball State University before completing his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. His doctoral research examined the synthesis and reactivity of electroactive carbon-sulfide ligands and modifications of nucleic acids—work that combined organometallic chemistry with studies of DNA-binding compounds, bridging synthetic chemistry and chemical biology.
