Eli Glezer is a scientist, engineer, entrepreneur and R&D executive. He is passionate about advancing medicine through scientific discovery and engineering innovation.
His work has ranged across physics, biology and engineering, with the unifying theme of creating advanced tools for biological and medical research. He has built and led multidisciplinary R&D teams and is an inventor with more than 75 issued U.S. patents.
In 2016, Eli co-founded Singular Genomics, a life science company that developed technology for DNA sequencing and applied it to spatial biology as a universal readout for transcriptomics and proteomics in tissue. As Chief Scientific Officer, he led the science and engineering teams from start-up through IPO in 2021, and a subsequent private acquisition in 2025.
Prior to Singular Genomics, Eli served as Chief Technology Officer at Meso Scale Diagnostics, where he oversaw the design and development of a market-leading multiplexed immunoassay technology — from early concepts through to successful commercial products. The instruments and assays he helped create are used to analyze protein biomarkers in thousands of laboratories worldwide, from basic research to translational medicine, and have been used in more than 1,500 scientific publications.
