Amy Lansky, PhD

Amy L. Lansky is the president of RuLabinsky Enterprises, Inc., through which she works as a writer, speaker, and advocate for homeopathic medicine — following nearly two decades as an artificial intelligence researcher at NASA and SRI International. Lansky graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rochester in 1977 with degrees in mathematics and computer science, then earned her doctorate in computer science from Stanford University in 1983, supported by a Hertz Fellowship beginning in 1979, with a thesis on specification and analysis of concurrency. She spent the following 15 years at SRI International and NASA Ames Research Center as a senior computer scientist working on AI planning systems, including the GEMPLAN and COLLAGE planners, which had applications in the space shuttle program and NASA’s planetary exploration missions. After leaving science, she became an advocate for homeopathy, particularly after treating her son’s autism. She published Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy (2003), which became one of the best-selling introductory books on homeopathy worldwide, and Active Consciousness: Awakening the Power Within (2011). She served on the board of the National Center for Homeopathy from 2003 to 2011 and was a founding board member of the California Health Freedom Coalition.
