Building the Green Economy
The Hertz Foundation sponsored the Innovation Tri-Valley Energy Forum: 2024 Energy Summit, which convened leaders from the energy, business, government, and education sectors to accelerate discussions on a regional green economy. Hertz Fellow Kim Budil, director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, was the event’s keynote speaker.

SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON STELLAR WORK
The Hertz Foundation sponsored the 2024 #GameGhangers Awards, which recognized the biggest disruptors, founders, funders, mentors, entrepreneurs, influencers, and civic leaders in the Tri-Valley region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Hertz Fellows Megan Blewett and Rod Bayliss, and staff members Andye Daley, John Ohab, and Karla Rodebush attended the event.

A thrilling tribute to Young innovators
The Hertz Foundation sponsored the 14th Annual Dreammakers & Risktakers Awards, which brought together the regional innovation ecosystem with the young innovators influencing the future of the Tri-Valley region of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Hertz Fellow Tracy Vogler, research engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, presented an award to a team of students who designed an AI fact checker.

celebrating the Hertz legacy in the SF Bay Area
With the Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group and 10x Genomics, the Hertz Foundation hosted The Hertz Effect, a gathering of Hertz Fellows and leading innovators from across the Bay Area inside 10x Genomics’ expansive Pleasanton headquarters. This casual cocktail party featured storytelling, networking and a celebration of the Hertz legacy in the region. Hertz Fellows Kathleen Alexander, Megan Blewett and Will Evans spoke at the event.
