Elevating Science Policy and Communications

Through joint convenings and collaborative programming, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) provides Hertz Fellows with access to valuable training and networking opportunities in science policy and communications while exploring solutions to pressing policy topics like biosecurity.

Bridging Science and Policy

The Hertz Foundation and FAS are collaborating to connect scientific expertise with policy action. Hertz Fellows gain access to FAS’s science policy programming and network of experts, providing insight into career paths in science policy and communications. FAS, in turn, engages the robust and multigenerational Hertz Fellowship network of experts. Together, FAS and the Hertz Foundation co-hosted a topical forum and collaborated on a Day One memo, providing Hertz Fellows engagement opportunities in policy conversations.
