Hertz Foundation Partners with Analog Devices to Empower Future Leaders in Analog, Digital and Software Technology Solutions
The Hertz Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering the nation’s most promising innovators, and Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), a global semiconductor leader, have announced a new partnership to drive the next generation of scientific leadership in analog, digital, and software technology solutions.
ADI will provide financial support for a distinguished individual in the 2025 class of Hertz Fellows, announced in May 2025. The Analog Devices-Hertz Fellowship will provide the recipient with unique opportunities to present their doctoral research to company leadership and gain insights into the company’s work within a broad range of technologies from integrated circuits to AI, applied across healthcare, industrial, healthcare, aerospace, and consumer products.
In addition, Hertz Fellows will have the opportunity to apply for an annual internship at ADI, offering valuable industry experience and resources needed to advance both their research and careers after completing their doctoral research.
“ADI is proud to support this cutting-edge research and the innovative spirit of Hertz Fellows as we pursue our shared vision of enriching lives and the world around us,” said Vincent Roche, CEO and Chair at ADI.
“We are thrilled to partner with ADI to further our goal of funding more Hertz Fellows and supporting them with the best possible experiences,” said Wendy Connors, Hertz Foundation President. “By connecting Hertz Fellows with ADI’s pioneering technology and expertise, we are creating invaluable opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and leadership in science and technology.”
ADI representatives will also have the opportunity to participate in key Hertz Foundation events and networking activities. This includes the 2025 Hertz Summer Workshop taking place July 17-20 in Colorado Springs, a signature event for the Hertz community and one-of-a-kind gathering of some of the top scientists, entrepreneurs and leaders in our nation’s science and technology enterprise.
“The community of Hertz Fellows is a uniquely talented group of graduate students motivated to tackle today’s most exciting and challenging problems. It’s exciting to support their research and combine efforts as we work towards solving problems of joint interest,” said Sam Fuller, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Emeritus at ADI and a member of the Hertz Foundation Board of Directors. Fuller earned his PhD in electrical engineering at Stanford University during his Hertz Fellowship.
In addition to Fuller, multiple Hertz Fellows have worked at ADI during their careers, including Kenneth Lisiak, External Foundry Director at ADI, and Edward Frank, member of the ADI Board of Directors.
To enhance the Hertz Fellowship experience, in recent years the Hertz Foundation has formed a growing list of partnerships with influential organizations in science, technology, national security, and philanthropy. Recent partnerships include Breakthrough Energy Discovery, Gates Foundation, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and the Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group, among other organizations.
