Raymond Sidney Volunteer Leadership Award

The Raymond Sidney Volunteer Leadership Award recognizes outstanding volunteers for their generous personal and/or financial contributions to building the Hertz community. It is awarded each year at the annual Hertz Summer Workshop.

How to Nominate

The Raymond Sidney Volunteer Leadership Award is administered by the Fellowship and Program Council, the foundation’s advisory body, composed of Hertz Fellows and other volunteers from the science and technology community. The recipient will be recognized at the Hertz Summer Workshop, the signature event for the Hertz community and one-of-a-kind gathering of some of the nation’s top scientists, entrepreneurs and leaders

Ray Sidney personifies the Hertz Community. Through his generosity and commitment to the Hertz Foundation, he has helped build a more vibrant network of Hertz Fellows capable of fostering ideas and connections with impacts that reach far beyond their doctoral work. He is known for mentoring young fellows, opening his home to those immersed in the rigors of doctoral research, and meeting with fellows on the road.
