Tom Sathre worked as a Senior Scientific Programmer at Lockheed Martin.
Tom graduated with two Master’s Degrees in computer science and mathematics from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in physics from UC Davis, California.
His first employment was with Lockheed Aerospace in California and England for ten years. He was hired by Martin Marietta for ten years and spent another ten years with Lockheed Martin in Colorado. He retired in 2005. He was an engineer in aeronautics for different areas of expertise.
During his life he lived in Texas, California, England, and Colorado. Tom was a member of Toast Masters, The Association of Computing Machinery, and a bass singer in various choirs and rest homes. He was also an instructor for scuba diving and a teacher of mathematics for the University of Maryland.
He chaired the National Ataxia Group of Denver with his wife Donna for many years. Tom spoke and read several languages including Spanish, German, and Greek, as well as English. He translated 13 medical articles for a doctor in Italy writing about Ataxia, which Tom lived with for 26 years.
