William F. Pritchard, Jr. is a clinician-scientist and biomedical engineer currently serving as a Senior Staff Clinician within the Radiology and Imaging Sciences department at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). A 1989 Hertz Fellow, his work specializes in interventional oncology and the study of hemodynamics as it relates to vascular disease and localized drug delivery. He has authored extensive research on the mechanical factors of blood flow and their impact on atherogenesis, bridging the gap between fluid mechanics and clinical medicine. Dr. Pritchard earned his MD from Emory University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
