Jonathan Siegler is a managing director and chief financial officer of Parallel Bluescape and of PRP. Siegler is responsible for driving performance management, strategy, investment decision making, and transaction execution. He also is responsible for the back-office processes. Siegler serves on the Investment Committee, Valuation Committee and Risk Committee of PRP and on the boards of certain of its portfolio companies. Siegler leads the interactions with each of the portfolio companies and is responsible for ensuring consistent underwriting assumptions and analytics are used to high grade the origination pipeline. Siegler also serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bluescape. Siegler serves on the board of managers for Bluescape and certain of its investments. On behalf of Bluescape, Siegler led the greenfield effort to build positons in the Marcellus and the Eagle Ford, led the sale of Marcellus Minerals to multiple counterparties, negotiated the Marcellus JV with Oxy USA, and originated and executed structured loan transactions with Jayhawk and Greyhey.
Siegler was formerly senior vice president of strategy and M&A at TXU Corp. Siegler helped to architect TXU’s new build generation strategy and to lead the sale of TXU to an investment group led by affiliates of KKR, TPG, and Goldman Sachs. Prior to TXU, Siegler was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company leading strategy, finance, and operations work across the energy/industrial sector. Prior to that, Siegler served as a lieutenant aboard the nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine USS Pennsylvania (SSBN 735B), qualifying as a naval nuclear engineer, and receiving three Navy and Marine Corps achievement medals for superior service.
Siegler earned a BS in electrical engineering from the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated with distinction, and an MS in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
