Harshi Mukundan is the chemical and biological technologies lead in the Office of National Homeland Security at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Harshi joined Berkeley lab to lead the chemical and biological technologies programs within the office for national and homeland security. She also is a senior scientist and chair of the biomedical sciences department, where she runs her own research program in agnostic biodefense and biosecurity. She is a senior policy advisor for the council on strategic risks; and a non-resident fellow of the Berkeley risks and security lab at the University of California, Berkeley.
Harshi has authored over 100 research manuscripts; and is the inventor on 6 provisional and issued patents. She is the recipient of 3 R&D 100 awards, and is a AAAS Fellow.
