MAKING HISTORY

Claire Qureshi is CEO, co-founder, and board member of Sentinel Bio, a philanthropic fund focused on biosecurity and pandemic preparedness, with a near-term emphasis on preventing risks at the intersection of emerging technology and biology.

Prior to founding Sentinel, Claire served as a Senior Director at Novavax, where she co-led the company’s global strategic partnerships, including its collaborations with COVAX and CEPI for the international launch of its COVID-19 vaccine. Before Novavax, she held senior positions at the Office of the WHO Ambassador for Global Strategy and the UN Special Envoy for Health, driving efforts to finance and scale community health systems globally and unlocking hundreds of millions of dollars in bilateral and multilateral support. 

Claire began her career as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she focused on healthcare and public sector challenges in the U.S. and internationally. 

She received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her B.A. from Yale University. She lives just outside of Washington, D.C., with her husband and two children.
