Financial Support for Hertz Finalists
Texas A&M University (TAMU) will provide full financial benefits for students each year who are named finalists for the prestigious Hertz Fellowship but are not ultimately selected as Hertz Fellows. The partnership highlights the commitment of both organizations to support the nation’s most promising young minds in science and technology.
A path for funding
To be eligible for these benefits, Hertz Fellowship applicants must express their interest in TAMU as part of their initial fellowship application. If they advance as a Hertz Fellowship Finalist, are admitted and choose to enroll at TAMU, they will receive the five-year TAMU Chancellor’s Fellowship. If a Finalist accepts the TAMU offer and is later named a Hertz Fellow, the Hertz Foundation will augment the Chancellor’s Fellowship with an additional $11,000 per year, plus an additional $5,000 per year if the Fellow has dependent children.
